Erasmus right before Christmas

Two weeks, two projects and two very tired employees. We have been hard at work in December working on our two Erasmus+ KA210 projects and we are soon ready to celebrate Christmas and take a well deserved break.

Between the 10th and 12th of December we worked together with our partners from Vienna and Pamplona on the Hy2Learn project. As you can now see on the hy2learn.eu website, we have been hard at work in publishing our final activities for the hybrid classroom. Our days were spent with a keen focus on website useability, as well as finding mistakes and making our PDF guide uniform for all the activities included. We also worked on Nettiquete for our learners, to ensure that we also set some rules for learners in the hybrid classroom. At Briga we also gave the visiting teachers from VHS the opportunity to observe one of our Norwegian classes and as expected, these keen observers left with some solid Norwegian skills.

GLOW (formerly known at GAHWP-LT)

What do you get if you lock four people in a room, two from Belgium, two from Norway and with no sunlight? You get results! on the 17th and 18th of December Briga was happy to host our partners from KOV who we are working with on our generative AI project related to prompt writing for language teachers. After an online kick off, both organisations have spent time evaluating and mapping their teachers experiences in the classrooms (for adult second language learners) as well as their knowledge about AI. Our goal was to create a timeline, create groups for our projects and to discuss what our teachers have shared with us. We now have a timeline for our 2025 activities, and we hope to have a prompt guidebook published in march 2026.

What Briga gets from Erasmus

Erasmus can seem like a lot of extra work for us, with very little to know payout, but our KA210 projects are a cornerstone in our teacher development. Using Erasmus+, we can include our teachers in their own development and ensure that we give them targeted development opportunities. Not only this, but the collaboration we have across the European borders, allows us to learn from many of our partners. This experience is extremely valuable for us as a language course provider, and we take great pride in giving our teachers and administrative staff a chance to contribute to knowledge development.

2025 awaits with new project ideas, new partners to work with and new areas to explore.

The Plan Ahead

With opportunities everywhere, we will be starting 2025 with some job shadowing for our teachers, looking into NordPlus Languages and working hard to upskill teachers through courses.
