Teachers in Briga live and work across the entire stretch of Norway, meeting participants from around the world. In our mission to drive teacher development, we have been happy to use the Erasmus+ accreditation we have. In doing so, we have actively engaged our staff in knowledge development practices.
During 2025 and early 2026 we have completed another mobility project, with the focus being on our teachers this year. We have sent people on 13 visits in total, and below you can find a small summary of what we've done.
Courses
The main focus has been on courses for teachers and this year we have had one topic that has dominated: AI and the digital tools in the classroom. Our teachers have travelled to Bologna to gain insight into ICT tools for language training. Here they brought back tools which they put into direct use in their digital classrooms for training Ukrainian refugees.
Others have learned more about how to ethically and responsibly integrate generative AI into their classrooms, with Dublin being a major contributor as a city to building the AI knowledge in Briga. Here we have had both teachers and school staff learn from knowledgeable partners in how to integrate AI into their roles.
And whilst the digital and AI world has been dominant, we have also had teachers attend courses which have built on their creativity and how to include all learners. Knowledge from these courses has been taken directly into use in classrooms where students are physically with the teacher.
Briga's leadership has also been hard at work, developing their skills to ensure that teachers have the best support and administrative system behind them. Learning how to coach teachers, how to destress ourselves and how to communicate with students makes for a more comfortable experience for us all.

Job Shadowing
This year we have also developed our relationship with EOIP in Pamplona, where two teachers have observed teachers in language classes for adults. Unlike Briga which deals with Norwegian as a second language, EOIP has a larger portfolio of languages, a broader target group and has provided valuable tips and tricks to the visiting teachers.

All in all, the mobilities have provided valuable training for everyone involved, and soon the Briga Brigade will be travelling again to new courses and partners, for some new much needed insight and exchange.
